The Maldives bring to mind overwater villas and a price tag starting at half a million roubles. But the archipelago opened up to 'ordinary' travellers long ago: local islands, guesthouses and a smart choice of dates cut the budget in half without losing the magic.
Season and prices
The high season runs from December to April. May–July can bring brief showers, but hotels offer discounts of up to 40% and the ocean is just as turquoise. For a honeymoon, take a villa for 3–4 nights and spend the rest of the time on a local island — more and more of our guests do exactly that.
Combined itineraries
A 'Dubai + Maldives' combo saves on flights and adds a city contrast to the beach relaxation. Direct charters fly from Moscow; from Sochi you connect through the Emirates, which is handy for a combined trip.
