How we build our signature tours: from idea to itinerary

Every Oktour signature route starts with a scouting trip: someone from the team travels the whole thing, stays in the same hotels and eats in the same restaurants they'll later bring guests to. Here's how it all works behind the scenes.
Scouting and local partners
On a route we look not for sights but for people: a winemaker in Kakheti, a guide on Avachinsky, the owner of a riad in Marrakech. Local partners make up 80% of the experience. We work with each of them directly, with no chain of middlemen.
A plan B for every day
In the mountains the weather decides everything, so every day of the route has a backup scenario. If the helicopter to the Valley of Geysers can't fly, we head to the thermal springs and reschedule the flight. A guest should never feel that something went wrong.
