All inclusive in Turkey: how to choose a hotel and get it right

Turkey is our travellers' most popular destination, and almost everyone goes all inclusive. But behind the same 'AI' label hide very different hotels: from a modest three-star with a buffet to ultra resorts with water parks and à la carte restaurants.

AI, UAI and what they include

Classic all inclusive means three meals a day, local drinks and daytime snacks. Ultra all inclusive adds imported alcohol, round-the-clock snacks and à la carte restaurants. For a family with children, UAI almost always pays off; for a couple on a week's trip, do the maths individually.

How to read reviews

Look not at the overall rating but at recent reviews from the last 2–3 months and guests' own photos. Key markers: queues at the restaurants, the state of the rooms after any renovation, how the entertainment team performs. Our curators visit the hotels in person — ask us about a specific hotel in the chat.
«A good all-inclusive hotel saves you not money but decisions: you simply relax.»

In short: curator's tips

UAI pays off for families with children
Recent reviews matter more than the overall rating
A second-row room with a view often beats a noisy beachfront one
Book the à la carte restaurants on your first day
