Your first Mediterranean cruise: what you need to know

The cruise is the most underrated kind of holiday among Russian travellers: on a single trip you see 4–6 countries while your hotel sails along with you. We cover the basic questions everyone asks before their first time.

Cabins and prices

An inside cabin is the most budget-friendly way into the cruising world, and for active travellers it's plenty: you only sleep in the cabin. A balcony makes sense on routes with scenic passages — the fjords, the Bosphorus. The price includes meals, onboard entertainment and the ports along the route.

Shore excursions

Excursions booked through the ship cost more but guarantee you'll get back on board. In major ports you can explore on your own — just make sure you're back an hour before departure. We put together bespoke shore programmes for guests with local guides: cheaper than the ship's and without the crowds.
«A cruise is a buffet of countries: you sample everything, then come back to the one you loved.»
